Lancome L'Extreme Mascara Review

L'Extreme lashes

Curvy shape

Elegant appeal

Mascara shade in 01 Noir (black)

Fine bristles

(after lots of coats)

This lovely mascara caught my eye because of it's odd curvy shape. It somewhat reminds me of an elegant, long-necked and lithe...but very much pregnant lady! hehe! The tapered wand conforms to the hand so well that mascara application is easily maneuvered.  I also like it that the brush looks neat and clean everytime i use it. Unlike some formulation that looks CHUNKY, messy and "globby" the moment you take the wand out of the tube.

After curling my lashes with Shu Uemura curler (they work best together), i usually apply 2-3 coats of this. It goes smoothly as the fine bristles separates and lengthens each strand. If there's one outstanding quality this mascara has, it's the lengthening power! You'll definitely notice the difference! And it does so in a way that it looks  natural, like you were smack lucky you were born with it kind of thingie. It doesn't give that thick, gooey and fake spiderlike mascara effect. So forget trying this if you're aiming for that dramatic dolly look.

PROS:
-really lengthens
-separates and defines each hair
-natural looking lashes
-no flaking
-coats evenly
-buildable
-dries easily
-lasted all day
-doesn't feel heavy
-absolutely no eye irritations

CONS:
-didn't add much volume
-has tendency to clump (when not applied properly)
-curl holding ability is so-so
-pricey

WILL I REPURCHASE?

Yes, because it really makes my short Asian lashes look as if they actually have a life. I'm not after the volume or curling, i  just want longer lashes that looks naturally pretty. And L'Extreme gives me that... effortlessly. I have to say that it's still not HG material for me. I'm still in search of a mascara that will give me sky high lashes, has zero clumps and dirt-cheap. But for the meantime, this is the closest i can get...

Maybelline the Magnum Mascara Review

I like the yellow and violet combo!

Since i have very oily lids, it is quite a feat to find a mascara that has good sustaining power and doesnt smudge. So I was pleasantly surprised when Maybelline's Magnum mascara was able to address both issues.

An affordable way to have pretty lashes
It's tough, effective and waterproof

The Collagen Formula has secret ingredients which beefs and plumps up the hair 10 times more. Thus, giving the illusion of luscious thick lashes. And the oversized Magnum Brush coats even the smallest strand to ensure fine and even distribution.

I've always used basic black for my lashes

These bristles really elongates like magic

One thing I noticed though is that you have to be quite adept in applying this so that it won't end up looking all clumpy. There's a way to do it though. And one way is to make the mascara dry a bit by waving it a few times before actually putting it on. Other than that everything is a-OK!

My bare lashes looks so pitiful and short

With Magnum mascara they suddenly looked longer...hurrah!

-lengthened my lashes instantly
-made them thick-looking too
-didn't flake
-consistency is just right
-longwearing
-holds the curl well
-I like the bright yellow tube
     (so easy to spot!)
-convenient drugstore product
-CHEAP

-tube is quite stubby
-tends to clump (if not applied right)
-not quite easy to remove

This mascara really works! It performed way beyond my expectations. Which is super awesome for a drugstore product. It can even work as well as my more expensive mascaras. I just love it when I find a cheap product that delivers results!

No smudge, no raccoon eyes and only thick lashes that stays all day long! What more can you ask for? So If you want natural looking lashes at a fraction of a cost, you should def give this a try.
