Lancome L'Extreme Mascara Review

L'Extreme lashes

Curvy shape

Elegant appeal

Mascara shade in 01 Noir (black)

Fine bristles

BEFORE

AFTER
Extreme closeup
(after lots of coats)

This lovely mascara caught my eye because of it's odd curvy shape. It somewhat reminds me of an elegant, long-necked and lithe...but very much pregnant lady! hehe! The tapered wand conforms to the hand so well that mascara application is easily maneuvered.  I also like it that the brush looks neat and clean everytime i use it. Unlike some formulation that looks CHUNKY, messy and "globby" the moment you take the wand out of the tube.

After curling my lashes with Shu Uemura curler (they work best together), i usually apply 2-3 coats of this. It goes smoothly as the fine bristles separates and lengthens each strand. If there's one outstanding quality this mascara has, it's the lengthening power! You'll definitely notice the difference! And it does so in a way that it looks  natural, like you were smack lucky you were born with it kind of thingie. It doesn't give that thick, gooey and fake spiderlike mascara effect. So forget trying this if you're aiming for that dramatic dolly look.

PROS:
-really lengthens
-separates and defines each hair
-natural looking lashes
-no flaking
-coats evenly
-buildable
-dries easily
-lasted all day
-doesn't feel heavy
-absolutely no eye irritations

CONS:
-didn't add much volume
-has tendency to clump (when not applied properly)
-curl holding ability is so-so
-pricey

WILL I REPURCHASE?

Yes, because it really makes my short Asian lashes look as if they actually have a life. I'm not after the volume or curling, i  just want longer lashes that looks naturally pretty. And L'Extreme gives me that... effortlessly. I have to say that it's still not HG material for me. I'm still in search of a mascara that will give me sky high lashes, has zero clumps and dirt-cheap. But for the meantime, this is the closest i can get...

Lancome Blanc Expert Mineral Powder Foundation Review

Price:
Slim compact-995pesos (approx $20)
Powder refill-1895 (approx $40)

Great for everyday use!

On days when I don't feel like wearing too much makeup but STILL wanna manage to look decent enough, I whip out this pristine white compact for an instant I'm ready to face the world look. It BRIGHTENS and evens my skintone in a jiffy! Saves me a whole lot of time from all that primer, liquid foundation and pressed powder repertoire. All in one SINGLE step!

Powder refill

Simple but classy look

The perforations at the back of the compact is extra hygienic for sponge (great for germophobes!)
It's a breeze to replace the refill with the easy to open snap clasp

It contains White Sapphire and Neurowhite Complex that has skin lightening benefits

This is one of those rare mineral powders where I could literally see the LUMINOUS effect right before my very eyes! It has "white sapphire complex" which seems to minimize pores with it's light reflecting particles. Giving that TRANSLUCENT illusion on my skin. I always receive compliments about how nice my skin is everytime I use this. It's my "FAKE a flawless look" powder.

I just love it when companies come up with these ingenious/miracle sounding names to their products. It feeds my curiousity and heightens my excitement even more. It makes my skin feel PAMPERED especially with something that has a precious gem infused to it. Afterall, a woman deserves to be extra spoiled sometimes! Although i have yet to see the lightening effects on my complexion, it would be awesome if this thing could make my stubborn spots fadeaway as well... Oh well I think I'm asking for too much already. Hehe!

My shade in O-02

I like the compact's huge mirror!

The powder is ultra fine
And the sponge is super soft!

Although the coverage is good, it is quite sheer. So it's not enough to hide and conceal all those blemishes with this powder alone. Best to pair it with a tough concealer to achieve that FLAWLESS look. But if you have relatively clear skin, this compact is "Fabulousity" with a capital F. You will GLOW with delight!

Swatch on my skin
Has that subtle hint of mineralized shimmer

The left side looks brighter and more luminous against my bare skin
Just so you'll get a clearer picture, I deliberately made the swatch thicker since my camera cannot fully capture the difference when applied lightly
It's super nice IRL
Just a little amount will do and you're all SET!

It basically lasted the whole day. But of course I needed to do my occassional touch ups every now and then in order to control the shine of my OILY skin. It didn't cake, chalk nor crease on me. My oiliness absorbed it in a way that it made my skin look DEWY after awhile and dabbing it with tissue is enough. Plus, I never had any breakouts while using this. It just wore like second skin giving me that healthy and radiant sheen.

So if you wanna see your dull skin transform into something luminous and vibrant, Lancome's Blanc Expert Minerale powder foundation will do wonders in just one SWEEP. It maybe a bit pricey, but what do you expect from a company known for high quality products? You get value for your money. And a really good one at that!

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation Review

One of my all time favorite foundations!
My shade in Beige Albatre or 01
Clean, classy packaging with convenient pump
It blends divinely with my skin!

Price-2395 pesos (around $50)
Size-30ml

   Enduringly Divine-Comfort Makeup
   14h Retouch-Free, Oil-Free-SPF10

*14h of ultra-perfection
Ultra-wear transfer resistant, makeup that doesn't need retouching.

My take:

This is one of my favorite liquid foundations. Why? because it is so hassle-free and easy to apply that I actually derive pleasure in putting this stuff on my face. It has "Soft Liquid" micro powder. The moment you spread the creamy fluid, you'd immediately feel it effortlessly blend so smoothly and seamlessly on your skin. Feels lightweight, comfortable and natural! True to it's claim, it really feels velvety-soft! I love touching my skin after!

Makeup that glides well is the most important thing for me. I hate foundations that seems to get stuck, cakey or sticky on my skin that I have to vigorously rub it. That's a number 1 no-no and pet peeve! Add to that is 14 hours of ultra-perfect skin. How awesome is that! Thanks to Lancomes unique ColorKeeper pigments. It's ultra-fine coating pigments assures optimal level of super long lasting makeup wear. I did notice that all throughout the day my skin looked matte and even. The makeup still looked fresh, as if I just applied it. It never caked with my oily skin. Yes EVEN with my oily skin! A little pressed powder is all that I need to last me the entire day.

And the pigments are coated with an ultra-fine film which protects it from being transferred to your clothes. It just stays on the skin and not anywhere else! So less worry of smearing your makeup on your man's clothes especially during those steamy ultra-hot makeout sessions.

My complexion always looks bright, radiant and flawless everytime I use this. I'm not kidding! It's not one of those half-hearted "I think the makeup looks good enough on me crap!" There's no nagging feeling of uncertainty or there's something wrong somewhere thingie. You can face the day with so much confidence coz you know you're assured of beautiful looking skin. Even under the sun. This is what I feel everytime I use this. That's why I usually save this foundation during times when there's a special occassion and I don't wanna go wrong.

So there you have it. My personal experience with this awesome product. If you're on the hunt for a great liquid foundation, then this is a MUST try. The price is well-worth it. Thanks for dropping by again ya' all. See you again next time:-) hugs!

Lancome L' Absolou Rouge 391 Lipstick

Vibrant pink shade

Cool undertone

Swatch swab

Very flattering shade of pink!

My lips instantly perks up everytime I use this vibrant shade. Lancome's L'Absolou Rouge 391 has a pink color that looks bright and sweet. It will also keep your lippies moisturized and soft. So forget about flaky, undesirable chappy lips. The color stays long so no need for constant reapplications.I don't see the need to layer this with lipgloss as the color is lovely enough on its own. It also evens out the liptone. The casing even has a magnetic lid. I use this on special occassions when I want to feel extra pretty coz it lits my face and lifts my mood.

So if you're searching for a nice pink lipstick, this product is a must try. Believe me, you won't regret it. All you have to do is apply it, pucker up and kiss the world oh so sweetly!
                                                                   Mwaaaah!
