The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes Palette 18

I adore its cute cube packaging
Razzle dazzle glittery eyes...here i come!
Eye candy colors!
Palette#18
Pastel shimmery shades

The cute cube packaging is the first thing that caught my eye. I am sometimes guilty of purchasing makeups just because of how it looks like. It's like falling in love with a goodlooking person without bothering to get to know them first...hehe!

So off I left The Body shop carrying an item I'm not sure of yet I'm infatuated with. All i know is that I have a clear plastic cube with 4 tiny cubes of eyeshadows inside...its like having cubes within a cube. And I have 4 shades of shimmering colors that looks so pretty to the naked eye. With that i'm already sold!

When I got home, I immediately put to test my latest acquisition.

Pros:
-cute packaging
-pretty metallic colors
-can be used wet( for more intense color), dry( for lighter, sheerer effect)
-each cube could last for almost like forever
-colors are versatile, so can be blended together
-lasts all day
-doesn't crease

Cons:
-after awhile it can get a bit messy
-if your the "too lazy" type it can be quite a hassle to open one lid after another
-quite pricey
-not all the colors in the palette are to my liking

Overall:
It's a great eyeshadow! The color combination complements each other well. For daytime, I use it dry for that shimmery, light and sparkly glow. For nightime, in order to achieve a more dramatic look I apply it wet so that the color pops out even more. It also helps to make it last longer.

This is a great buy. When I tried it I realized I loved it even more. Now it's like falling in love beyond looks alone but with a deeper understanding and appreciation to it.:-)

Acmedica Face Powder

Teeny tiny round face powder
Separate compartment for sponge...hygienic!
Made in Japan
Nice flower design in the middle...i hated to destroy it :-)
Powder is soft blue in color that becomes translucent with skin

If you have annoying oily skin like mine and you hate putting loads of makeup coz it makes your face look unnattractively cakey, then this teeny tiny powder might just save the day!

At first, it sure feels scary to try the blue powder, I'm sure nobody likes to look like smurfs. In case you don't know what smurfs are, they are tiny blue-colored cartoon characters popularized during the 80's. Ok i know im exagerrating a bit here, i just wanted to insert and write about smurfs coz i find them cute, haha!...so now lets go back to the main topic...hmmm...like what I've mentioned, the finely-milled blue powder actually becomes translucent once applied to skin. It instantly absorbs unwanted oils and grease, leaving your face matte and shine free!

I didn't experience any skin irritations or breakouts. Which is good when you have sensitive skin. I like that the sponge has a compartment of it's own for hygienic purposes. The packaging is so small it could practically fit in the palm of your hand. Its a perfect on the go makeup coz it's very handy. The only thing is that it sort of feels weird whenever I apply it coz it's so small and I'm used to regular-sized compacts.

I forgot the price of this one but I remember it being so cheap. It's great for casual everyday use. My makeup still looks fresh even after a sweaty day, thanks to this. Just a few light pats and voilà! No more shine! Acmedica face powder is so small, so cheap and so convenient. That's all folks! Have a happy week ahead:-)

Tagged!

Hello dear ladies, I was tagged by the sweet Nora-Schu. You can check out her interesting and lovely blog.

My questions are...
1- Which cosmetic line do you think has the best packaging?

I like YSL makeup. For me they look classy and elegant.

2- If you have a tattoo(s), what is it and why did you get it? If you don't have one, what would you get and why?

inside my ankle

I don't have one but if I did I'd put it on my ankle and I'd choose this design. I just find it so cute and dainty. I love stars coz for me they symbolize my dreams and aspirations.

3- What celebrity do you think your most like, whether it be personality or looks?

Monica Bellucci

I love Monica Bellucci. I find this Italian actress so beautiful. Her beauty is timeless. I love her movie "Malena". I could identify with her in a sense that she exudes class, mystery and allure. Traits that I admire in a woman which I try to emulate.

4- Do you have any pets?

My two adorable brats Chino and Zoe, the cutest poodles in they eyes of their master, haha! I treat them like humans, like real babies that's why they act so spoiled.

5- What is your favorite movie?

Sliding Doors

I believe in destiny, fate, chance and the power of how a mere fraction of a second could totally change one's life. If my aunt didn't meet the love of my life and had us introduced, I think I'd still be lost in this world.

6- Do you stick to one genre of music?
or do you listen to a whole variety? If so, what are your favorite genres?

I dont stick to one genre but my two most favorites are RnB and classical music.

7- Who/what is the love of your life?

Mr G. The very reason why I wake up with so much meaning and hope. We are so alike yet so different, we complement each other's strengths and weaknesses. I could just go on and on gushing how wonderful it is to be loved by someone like him. Hehe:-)

8- What's your favorite gadget?
(cellphone, camera, ipod..etc)

My I-touch, I'll die without it! Haha. I sleep, eat and blog with it. Wonderful creation. It's so small and handy. But soon I'll be getting an I-Pad so I have yet to see if I'll love it more than my I-touch.

Bourjois Docteur Glamour Lipstick in Rose Toubib #14

Lovely and feminine tube casing
Rose Toubib shade
Elegant old rose shade
Swatch on my skin
Love this classic pink shade on my lips!

This is another happy Sasa purchase. I gravitated once again to another pink shade that caught my eye. This time it's Bourjois Docteur Glamour Rose Toubib. I like that it's dark pink and silver packaging looks so feminine and ladylike.

The color is like a classic rose pink. Not pale and not too dark. Sort of in between. It is the sort of shade that screams "pretty, sweet and shy".

Upon application, i immediately noticed it's moisturizing effect. Its creamy and feather-light texture glides easily and effortlessly. It provides a rich coverage that evens out my liptone. A major plus since I hate lipsticks that barely sticks. It also has light reflecting pearls that illuminates  sheer shine on my lips.

Also, it is quite longlasting coz even after eating I still have pink pigments stuck on my lips. I love lipsticks that has consistent texture and hate those that bleeds or discolor. So far i never experienced these two.

Bourjois Rose Toubib is a great alternative for costlier brands. Perfect for daily and casual use. I can't say it's my ultimate favorite pink lippie but it's definitely up there amongst my most used and loved lipsticks. That's all for now. Thanks for dropping by lovely ladies! :-)
