NYX Eyeshadows

These are some of my fave shades
Cheap and Chic
Velvet Blue, Ocean Frost, Space
Purple, Dark Purple and Plum shades
I love NYX!

The first time I saw NYX products at some counter I immediately grabbed a few items coz the colors are so nice and the price is sooo cheap! Everyday before sleeping i'd think of the next NYX item i'll buy.

I didn't even know that lots of girls were raving about it until I reoppened my blog last April and did some major bloghopping! But sad to say I left most of my NYX eyeshadows and lipsticks at my brothers house in Vegas and when I'd ask him to send it over, his fat lazy ass would tell me he has to look for it...but he never bothered!:-(

I only managed to bring these 2 eyeshadows coz I've kept them in my makeup bag and has since been using them.

These eyeshadows are great why? I guess most of you already know it! Buy still I'd give my 2 cents worth...

-rich, highly pigmented color
-glides easily and effortlessly
-expertly coordinated trio
-buildable colors
-sleek black casing
-color stays true
-good dupe for MAC
-and as I've mentioned cheap

-not locally available in my country...that's all I can think of coz basically I don't have any qualms about this product:-)

So that's my take on NYX eyeshadows. Just mix and match the shades to your heart's delight and you'll end up looking fab without spending a fortune. I truly <3 these.

I still think about the other NYX babies I've left behind *sighs* I just wish we'd all be reunited someday:-)

The Ex-girlfriend Showcase

Who likes ex-gf's? Chances are 9 out of 10 will unanimously agree they are a thing of the past, dead...buried six feet under the ground and should just remain there. Unless you're a martyr who can tolerate such, then I don't see any reason to be worried. But for the rest of the sane, loving and healthy girlfriends, they induce high blood and stress! They are like annoying pests and leeches that will suck your patience dry.

ghost girl

Yet they happen...every now and then she resurfaces like a hungry ghost who wants to make her presence known. She feels that she's a force to reckon with and has all the rights to reclaim her throne. I mean come on, Get a life of your own coz you're done and OVER with. You had your chance but you blew it! and now that you cannot find a better fish in the sea you'd come crawling back, begging for mercy?! Who are you kidding?

I remember one instance when Mr G showed me an email from a former flame(she should just burn in flames!). She said she only wants to say hi and asks how things are?(what for?). It would've been fine if the mail ended like that, but to attach her recent pictures is like WTF is wrong with you? Is this some sort of a bio data wherein you have to reapply yourself after being fired? What's your purpose? To show that you're thinner and you've never looked any better? Or maybe you just want to show off your newfound bod by wearing a skanky attire in vain hopes of luring him back?

Wrong move! He's already several light years away from where the two of you used to be. He's in Mars and your in Uranus! U r' in anus... Get that? Thus, because of this I came up with several types of ex girlfriends who continues to annoy our very existence.

heart broken

She'll call  under the pretense that she's so helpless and has major problems. She'll use even the most stupid and mundane excuses just to have a reason to talk to him.

"Oh hi, sorry to bother you but my cat got stuck on the roof and *sobs* I don't know what to do, I need somebody to help me...boohoo!". (why don't you accompany your cat up there and be stuck together?)
"I feel so empty and alone, and you're the only one who understands me. My life is a big mess...yakkity...yak..." (yeah... drama, go talk to your dog)
"I am not feeling well, maybe I won't live long...(oh really?when's that gonna happen?)

These women are the ones who's tiring to deal with. They'll exhaust you with their endless tirades of complaints and woes. She will call your man even during dead hours just to ask for help. Since she have long relied on him, she still believes and sees him as an integral part of her in order to fully function.

2.Image by
puppet on a string

She won't show that she's affected over the breakup, but she'll find ways and means to bump into your guy coz she just "happens" to be there. She's the scheming and devious type. Full of pretensions and denial. She will find ways to make small chit-chats in high hopes of reconnecting with him. She will present herself as a shoulder to cry on (as a disguise that she's the most reliable woman on earth).

These types are also the ones who tries to get close to his family and friends. They want to gain the sympathy and trust of the people closest to his heart. Sometimes bringing food to his mom. Calling her. Discreetly inquiring about him and asks what he's doing. She maintains a safe distance in order for her to not to look too desperate. She often uses other people to fish informations. She pretends not to care and is just being friendly. Yet she's always on the lookout for any dark facts or skeletons about the new gf which she aims to expose anytime. You can almost hear her say to him "See, I told you so! She's no good for you darling ladadi...ladida!". She'll find reasons to destroy your love. And once she hears that your relationship is in chaos, she'll pounce on your man like a hungry cheetah! Expect her to be the very first person around when things go wrong...coz like what I've said, she just "happens" to be there.

Beware of these kinds! They are the absolute loonies of the pack. They are  so obsessed with your guy that they're harbouring illusions of grandeur that they are still together. They can't accept defeat. They'll find ways and means to STALK and follow him. She knows where he eats, where he hangs out and what he does. She sends him a barrage of notes, endlessly calls him just to hear his voice and sometimes camps outside his house just to see his face. These women are delusional coz they also target the new object of affection. They will send hate messages to you, or mail a letter with your face slashed on the picture. She will threaten or even try to harm you. She sees you as the ultimate ENEMY!,  And  she'll do whatever it takes to get him back.  EX GIRLFRIEND.

4.Image by

These exes are not the overly emotional types. They use their bodies to fill the void and emptiness they feel deep within. Sex is just sex. No biggie! So when they've used up the entire soccer team and start running out of options, they whip out their little black books and redial every guy they know to try and touch bases with them again. Usually they're not really after your man...they are just feeding on their own selfish interests. More of the self-serving kind of thing. They feel loved, wanted and desired with every throes of passions they commit. They are the lost souls. Confused of what they really need and want. Usually they end up empty and alone.

5.Image by

These are the perfect ex girlfriends for me. The coolest of the bunch because they simply don't care anymore. Once done, it's over. No ifs and buts. Zip...zilch...NADA!

To them past is past and it is already frozen. They don't cry over spilt milk. They don't get stuck from "what might have beens". They know how to turn their lives around. And won't let the past get in the way. They simply move on...learn...and deal with it.

I have to say I fall under this category. I dont want to get stagnant from the past. It's a total waste of time. Being mushy about something will just lead me nowhere, that's why i find it best to live by the moment and appreciate what I currently have.

Up to now she's still in love with him...and it's been several years already. Nobody knows it but her. She may be with a new lover but deep inside it's still him that she wants.

She gets teary-eyed when she hears their love song, sighs when she sees the places they used to go to, her heart still leaps at the sound of his name...She still remembers his favorite food, still checks for his daily horoscope, and still wonders if he's eating well...

She is the silent, deep type. She doesn't bother him coz she has pride. She's just secretly yearning and patiently waiting for him to go back in her arms. She cant help but compare him to every guy that she meets. Regret is what she eats and breathes. She may get married to someone else for 60 years but all that occupies her heart is the 1 year she spent with  your man :-( *so sad*

This scene feels like being straight out of the "Friends" set. Imagine hanging out with his pals and...her. Kinda awkward isn't it? They tease, punch and chitchat each other like true blue buddies. Of course to them there's nothing more to it...just mere friendship. They have long moved on from that lovey-dovey stage towards the platonic kind.

But if I were in that position a tiny little voice would tell me it ain't right. I wouldn't want to hear those crazy little stories they used to share and listen to jokes and banters that only the two of them knows, or simply witness seeing them having so much fun together. I'd feel like an outsider intruding into their own private "world".

Call me crazy and immature but my weird brain can't even stand looking at her lips, i'll just imagine how they used to kiss. I can't bear the sight of them playfully hug, for once upon a time they used to be lost in that passionate embrace.

I personally don't like this set-up even when there's nothing more to it. It will only make me wonder if she knows him better than I do, if she makes him laugh harder or if he enjoys her company over me. And I'd absolutely hate the thought that everytime we have problems he'd turn to her and pour his heart out. It's gonna make me go crazy! I wouldn't help but compare and feel a pang of jealousy knowing that they used to be as closed as we are.

I'd also be wary if they had an on-off relationship over the years coz it's very likely that they might go back to each others arms again amidst constant proclamations of how OVER they are. I surely wouldn't know...

So girls, if you're on the other end of the spectrum and you happen to be an ex who's still mulling over some guy, please have some pride and dignity! Dont let his memory ruin you. Spare yourself from looking pathetic and desperate. I don't believe in "hoping someday we'll be together again crap" coz if he truly wants you, it should be NOW! A guy who's totally in love will move heaven and earth for you and not make you wait until you become a shriveled prune. You are not some discarded junk that men should pick up anytime they choose to. Do not push yourself to somebody who doesn't care anymore. Know when enough is enough. Put some value and worth to yourself before it's too late.

Someday, you'll find someone who will love you the way you deserve to be loved. And when that happens, you surely wouldn't like to deal with those crazy ex girlfriends yourself. Lastly, love yourself more than anybody else coz its the best gift you can ever give  your life. Cased closed.:-)

Have a great weekend

Revlon's Wink for Pink Lipstick

The actual lipstick color almost looks like the color of this logo
Skin swatch
Shot with camera flash
Up close

Without camera flash the pink looks dainty on my lips

Hello guys, here's another pink lippie that I like wearing on my lips. As what I've mentioned before, I'm a sucker for pink lipsticks!

I don't know why but something about it's name "Wink for Pink" tickles me. I like saying it over and over again. I find rhyme stuffs cute and for a lipstick to come up with such a name is totally cool...okay nuff' of that!

This is one of those 'what you see is what you get color' It gives exactly the same shade as promised on the tube, unlike some lipsticks that seems to change hues once applied on the lips.

-nice pink shade
-color stays true
-glides smoothly and easily
-evens out lip tone
-matte but with hint of sheen
-cheap price

-not longlasting*must keep reapplying*
-its color can highlight or accentuate fine lines or lip cracks
-this shade is not for everyone

Overall, I love this. I find this shade very flattering. I love its light pink "mauvish" color coz it doesn't look dead or dull on me. It complements my skin tone. I also seem to look younger and fresher everytime I use this. So that's my take on this one. What's your favorite pink lipstick? Thanks and hugs! ;-)

LV Epi Lockit Cassis

Top view

Rich purple shade

With my fave globe charm key ring

It's Epi Lockit Cassis turn today for my bag spotlight! I got her February of last year when I wanted something different from the LV line that's not "monogramish".

I opted for the subtle, understated epi line coz I love how the feathered leather texture looks like. I also dont have to worry about unsightly patina stains or marks since i could just easily wipe the dirt off. It's basically a fuss-free bag that I could just toss anywhere!

The deep purple shade gives off that elegant appeal which complements the lockit shape. It's not your typical violet shade. The color is so rich and vivid. But I also have to think which colors i should wear whenever i use this. Usually I pair it with white, black, beige or gray tops.

It's quite small but spacious enough to carry my necessities. Its zip up top provides extra protection for my things. Since it's handcarry I make sure all the things I'm bringing are light so as not to have sore fingers:-)

To sum it all up, this bag is great for everyday casual wear. It's not as eye catching as some of my bags but it still exudes that sophisticated glamour in a mild way. Eventhough I rarely get to use her, she still comes handy whenever I'm not in the mood to use my monograms...I love her in a special way. Like a mother to a middle child who craves for more attention and affection:-) until then! Xoxo!

Methode Swiss Thermal Oxygen Overnight Eye Mask

My sleeping baby Zoe as my muse

While I was busy browsing thru some beauty stuffs at Sasa I asked the SA which product she would recommend that's best for undereye circles. She excitedly pointed out Methode Swiss Thermal Overnight mask. Hmmm... quite pricey! no wonder she's giving me all that sales talk spiel. Well there's no harm in trying anyway and it's made in Switzerland(also famous for flawless Swiss skins) so I bought one.

But when I got to the counter, the cashier gleefully told me "Oh you got this! Very good product!". Of which another SA added "Good buy!". I was like Whoa! Is there some sort of conspiracy thing going around here? Why are they so giddy about this? Besides no need for all that hard sell since I was about to pay anyway. So I was left to wonder why amongst all my loots and hauls they are only gushing about this particular item.

Because of those SA's I cannot wait for dinner to be over so I can wash my face and apply this eye mask. Here's what's written at the back...

To use: Hold upright and slowly depress the pump with your thumb to release the product, then glide the expert applicator under the eye, from the inner to the outer corner. *easy part, done in a jiffy*
For optimum relaxing action, it is recommended to follow the Methode Swiss Relaxing Eye Self-Massage Program. Leave on overnight.*what?too lazy to follow that*
The mask has a gel like substance with green specks that melts upon contact with skin.

It promises to:
-smooth out the wrinkles of the eye contour
-visibly reduce dark circles
-leaves eyes re-plumped, younger&tighter
-makes the skin more elastic and younger looking

*it is suitable for those who have dry skin, fine lines or dull skin tone around the eye zone or dark circles.

Thermal Oxygen Complex, Swiss Thermal water

Suitable for:
   All skin types

My verdict:
•since I still don't have wrinkles around my eyes, naturally I didn't notice any smoothing or contouring
•surprisingly, it did lighten my circles! approximately a shade lighter
•my eyes also looked re-plumped and energized even after late night outs!
•the fragile undereye zone looks more taut and fresher

Well, those SA's were right. It's really a good product. For I saw noticeable changes. This product is perfect for insomniacs like me who still wants to look decent the following day. Since I rotate my eye creams, I use this on days when I lack sleep coz im assured of not looking like a panda when I wake up. Its quite pricey at $61.90 but I still think it's well worth it. I'm about to finish mine and if my budget permits, I'd still love to get another one.:-)

L'Oreal Hip Eyeshadows

High intensity colors that seems to pop!
Cute round casing
Boisterous & Stunning shades
Wand application
Swatch on my skin~yellow, turquoise, salmon and plum shades

I love the funky colors and combinations of L'Oreals Hip duo. It reminds me of pop art. Its bright and vivid shades truly captures the eye.

-high intensity pigments
-buildable colors
-smooth application
-stunning color combinations
-nice packaging
-a drugstore brand so easily accesible
-cheap,cheap and cheap

-I can't think of any cons coz it basically covered all the important criterias that I want in an eyeshadow

It's no brainer that these eyeshadows are obviously a great buy. I would love to buy all the colors and experiment all day! I love how they make my eyes look bright and cheery. They don't crease or rub off. A cheaper alternative to more expensive brands like MAC but just as good! Def a good dupe. And the colors really stays true. It's simply awesome!:-)

Letter to My Dad

fathers and daughters

Dear Daddy,

Happy Fathers Day! I'm writing this at some busy airport during a stopover in some faraway land. I see tons of families with beaming daddies and kids in tow together on this special occassion. Yet here I am just thinking about you. I wish I'm back home trying to make it a special day for you*sighs*.

I remember when I was still a scrawny kid complete with pigtails and goo on my face. You'd carry me around and we'll play horsey-horsey on your lap. I'd chuckle and giggle. So full of innocence and wonder. I felt so safe in your arms. You'd do your infamous "yah tigidig-tigidig" horsey voice. And I'd always laugh at those silly sounds. That was such a cute moment that will forever be implanted in my mind.

As I grew older I also started to kept distance. Perhaps because I could never imagine sharing boy crushes, makeups and periods with you. But you still showed me you care by lecturing me stuffs about my limitations as a woman. I turned to my friends for my dose of girlie talks. You would just shrug your shoulders as you hear me swoon about who's cute and what outfit looks hot. Your protective instincts were on a high when I started to date. You'd scrutinize and judge every kid on the block who asks me out.

As my teenage years emerged, i found you boring and a major obstacle to my misadventures. Man, how I hated those curfews you imposed! I would roll my eyes with those lengthy sermons about the hazards of men. I closed my ears and chose not to listen. I became a rebelious bitch who's unafraid of anything.

Years of heartaches, broken relationships and dramas came my way. You were a silent witness to it all. I watched as your frustrations multiplied by the minute. There you were trying to guide me and here I was still trying to act almighty and stubborn. I even answered you back with my stupid childish words!

I learned most of my lessons the hard way. I could almost hear you say " If only you listened to me..." I had to grow and mature on my own to realize those things. I learned that you were only after what's best for me.

Everytime I listen to the song "Butterfly Kisses" I can't help but cry. Why? coz I remember you and how wonderful you are. The lyrics perfectly describes what we have. And I could just imagine more tears to be shed on that fateful day when you'll finally give me away.

And now that I'm completely a grown woman, I began to appreciate all the hard work and efforts you took in trying to rear me into someone you can be proud of. If only I could erase those wasted years of hard headedness. If only I have showed gratitude instead of anger. If only I listened and applied your words of wisdom... Then I could've been the perfect daughter you wished me to be. I'm sorry...:-(

But it's not too late now. I still have several years ahead to make up for what I've lost, to show my appreciation and to let you know that despite my indifference...I have always loved you. We're not the touchy-feely kind anymore. We don't do the huggie wuggie, or play horsey-horsey anymore but I know and feel the love we have for each other is there. Burning ever so brightly. Amidst my makeup, newfound freedom and independence, I'm still that scrawny kid...your little baby.
Someday, the guy i'll marry will take your place away. But you'll forever be the first man that my heart ever loved. It was your hands that I held first and the very first guy that I looked up to. I may not always say or show how much you mean to me, but deep inside my heart is bursting with too much emotions to let you know how proud I am to have you as my dad.

I love you...

I'm writing this from the heart, heck you might not even get to read this coz you still adamantly refuse to be swayed by all those techie stuffs and all that...I'll just send you my kisses up in the air and hope they reach you just in time:-)

Your precious child,

Fathers Day, Happy Fathers Day

5 Things I'm Loving Now

Hello ladies! Just wanna share some of the items that i'm currently loving...been using and reusing them with different outfits. Mixing, matching and experimenting...wherever my mood takes me(except for the gloves, of course!). So here it goes...

1. Anne Klein drop earrings

I love the design of these gold danglers. I like how the looped chains connect in the middle giving it a soft, layered look!. The only downside is it's quite heavy(but manageable). Nonetheless, the style looks perfect on my ears...It's great for partying and going out.

2. Narciso Rodriguez perfume

Sexy, sexy, sexy scent! It's my man's ultimate favorite perfume on me. Even strangers have stopped me just to ask what scent i'm using. The smell evokes mystery and sophistication. I like to wear it when I want to feel glamorous.
Everytime I use this, no matter how mad he is at me... He just gives in and succumbs! It's a smell I guess that no man can't  resist!

3. Flower brooches by H&M

On days when I'm feeling blah about what I'm  wearing, I  just whip out these pretty flowers and pin it on my top. It immediately makes me look stylish with minimal efforts. It has the power to liven and "divafy" plain clothes. Comes in 2 colors, bronze and black.

4. Kenneth Cole Peeptoe Geometric Heels

Another sexy dazzler for plain or solid colored outfits. It's vivid geometric prints never fails to add oomph to my ensamble. I particularly like the peeptoe effect. Dainty, feminine and chic! Loving it!

5.The Body Shop Facial Gloves

When too much dirt and dead skin cells have accumulated on my face because of hectic schedule and busy  lifestyle, these cute lilac gloves are reliable to instantly slough away old skin cells  to reveal a fresher and newer skin underneath. Perfect when I'm feeling stressed or tired coz it makes me feel squeaky clean and brand new. Gentle even on sensitive skin. A great buy!

So there you go, the top 5 items that im enjoying now. Do you also have any current favorites? Care to share? Have a wonderful weekend you guys! Love and Kisses;-)
