Chanel Rouge Allure Delicieuse Lipstick

Hello 2011!

I hope everyone had fun during the holidays:-) My clothes feel a little bit tighter now. Eeek! I think i gained 5 freaking pounds! Even my cheeks feels heavy, it's like i'm carrying two sandbags (one on each side of my face). I totally forgot my diet and binged during the holidays. It's so hard to resist food when there's a wide array of yummy dishes staring back at me. Time to D-I-E-T again! And i'm "seriously serious" Haha!

For this post i made it look classic vintage since it's
Oh well...Chanel
I had fun playing with the pictures (again) hehe:-)

A "delicious" lippie to own

This lipstick was part of my wishlist because i saw an acquaintance wear this shade at a party several months ago and since then it sort of got stuck in my head. Every time her name pops up its not the face i remember but her lipstick. So i made it my mission to get one too (jealous much haha)!

Classy packaging that pops open when you press the gold logo.

The casing's black and gold combination looks so posh! And i like the clever way Chanel infused a spring mechanism on the cover to ensure that it securely latches on the tube. Extra points here since i hate loose caps that gets lost in my bag and smears lipstick stains all over. One of my biggest pet-peeves!

An elegant lady's must-have

For some reason the color makes me think of peach-mango nectar

Shimmery swatch...

Sorry i just had to include Zoe's face on the perfume bottle
After all French and poodles go together haha! ;-)

This is almost the exact same shade irl

Delicieuse is a soft peachy nude lippie that can also look a bit coral on certain lip tones (darker). It applies quite sheerly but is buildable. It is not your typical creamy lipstick as there's a slight waxy feel to it. Same feeling i get when i wear my NARS Niagara. There's also a certain rose scent to it which i deem as the "scent of a luxurious lipstick". Haha! Some women might not like it all but i DO love it!

How it looks like on my lips

It has fine gold shimmers that looks beautiful in any light. This shade makes my face look brighter and fresher. The color is perfect for everyday use. Looks so subtle and natural. Lasting power is also good. One observation though is that under soft yellow light (at night) it is not as noticeable. Also, it's quite drying after awhile so lipgloss is a must!

At 1750 pesos or around $30 dollars, the price is a bit steep. I could almost buy 2 MAC lipsticks with that! I just wished it wasn't as drying on me. But overall, i like it. I like it's pretty color. Great addition to any lipstick collection. Right now, i'm eyeing other shades from Chanel, Jersey Rose or Coquette from their Spring 2011 collection. Gosh! i don't want to start another obsession with these Chanel lippies, i'm really trying very very hard to kill that urge!

P.S.
While i was writing this post i caught Zoe stealing the box and chewing it. Tsk..tsk..good thing she didn't choose the actual lipstick or else... Bad girl!

Here's the proof:

THANK YOU FOR VISITING PRETTY LADIES!
Have a fabulous year ahead! :-)

Je vous remercie pour votre visite! :-)

Urban Decay Book of Shadows III:NYC

First of all, here's a big HELLO!!! to everyone
Christmas may be over but i hope you guys are still feeling the yuletide spirit.

Finally, my very own UD Book of Shadows!
(better late than never hehe)

I enjoyed doing the graphics for this post because i love both New York and Urban Decay
Reminds me of the good stuffs...

I was inspired to use street-art/graffiti as my theme
 for this one:-)

This palette is such a wonderful creation
because it is an art by itself
The integration of the city's landmarks, lifestyle and people (different races)
is what makes this makeup truly unique

I've been lemming for this for quite sometime
It's like a toy for a grownup lady

Since the time this product came out in the market i cannot get it off my head. For months i've been reading and drooling about this palette from other beauty bloggers. Sadly, Urban Decay is not available locally so these goodies are not easily accessible:-( Paging Sephora! Yoohoo?!

 .
It's amusing how this palette depicted NYC
with its cute mini collage/cutouts (complete with skyscrapers, Central Park, hippies, yellow taxi...etc)

I could just stare at it for hours!

Btw, this pop-up girl caught our (me and Zoe's) eye-- Spunky! LOL;-)

Yes, i tested the pop-up lights in total darkness...
but got scared and quickly turned the lights back on!
So this is how it looks like--interesting huh?

NOTE: The pop-up collage keeps closing on its own-- the ribbon that supports it seems quite
short thus tugging it back. I had to keep holding it open (hassle) so i can take decent pictures. I was almost tempted to pry it as far back as possible just so it would hold still, but of course i didn't do that...hehe:-)

16 chic urban shades

7 Exclusive shades:
Loaded (sparkly emerald green), Kush (green metallic with silver glitter), Rockstar (deep red-purple with metallic base), Money (metallic light green), Bordello (pale pinky-purple with shift), Radium (bright blue), Suspect (sheer sparkly beige)

Existing shades:
Perversion (matte black), Uzi (metallic silver), Midnight Cowboy Rides Again (shimmery pink champagne), Last Call (shimmery deep plum), Maui Wowie (shimmery medium gold), Smog (deep coppery bronze), Snatch (shimmery pale pink coral), Haight (shimmery teal blue), Psychedelic Sister (shimmery bright purple--my favorite)

Most of the colors that i like are in here

Aside from its pretty packaging, rarely do i find a palette that houses most of the shades that i want. The shimmery colors looks even more gorgeous in real life!
My faves are psychedelic sister, kush, radium and bordello <3

"Mi Amor UD!"
Notice the shadow effect on the graffiti wall?...nothing, i just like it... hehe;-)

These eyeshadows are highly-pigmented. Even a single swatch delivers a rich and even coloring that stands out on its own (even without a primer). It is such a delight to sweep it all over my lids as it applies oh so smoothly! It doesn't crease or tug. The interesting play of various textures and finish makes this palette even more fun. You can achieve both neutral or vibrant looks with its versatile range of colors, depending on your mood. Staying power is also great.

Swatches on my arm

I noticed that uzi (metallic silver) has large chunks of glitters that is quite bothersome. It literally looks like the one being used for school projects-scary!I'm afraid that it might enter my eye and irritate me. So i'm gonna pass on this one (unless needed).

Also, after each swatch i would wash my arm with soap and water, and i noticed that i had a harder time removing perversion, loaded, kush, haight & radium. I had to repeatedly rinse and scrub my arms several times to fully remove the tough pigment stains.

It has 2 eyeliners and the iconic UDPP

I'm very happy with my Book of Shadows. It's a real cool item to own. The 7 exclusive colors makes this product even more special. It's worth every penny considering the amount of items you'll get with each box. The size is travel-friendly too. Like a typical pocketbook (slightly bigger) with the thickness of a regular Sidney Sheldon/Dean Koontz novel. Hehe! But for normal daily use, it can be quite frustrating coz' it's bulky size eats a lot of space especially when i'm using a tiny purse. Also i'm slightly worried that i might accidentally squish the fragile cardboard casing knowing how i just throw stuffs in my bag. I'm crossing my fingers that it won't ever happen...

I would love to collect more palettes from UD in the future Really really love this!...that's all for now folks

I'll leave you again with a doggy pic, this time it's Chino taken a few days before Christmas.
As you can see he looks so unhappy and bored here. We were forcing him to do a holiday pose...hehe:-)

Thank you for your sweet and precious time :-)

MAC 217 Brush

Hello guys, if you noticed i've already changed my template. A new look for New Year! Plus i want my blog to have a personalized touch...

Well i've been quite busy these past few days preparing for Christmas and i can't wait for the day to come already. I'm just too excited for it... he he

Meantime, i can't wait to check out your blogs again :-)

Right now i wanna share to you one of my all-time favorites, my HG brush...my MAC 217. I'm so happy with this because it makes eyeshadow application so much easier. I love it so much that if ever i'll get stuck in an island (God forbid) and could only bring one brush, then this would be it...

The bristles, made of white goat hair are incredibly soft yet firm and strong. A versatile brush that can be used for putting color on the entire lid/crease, concealer application and highlighting. But it excels the most in blending colors  for that gradual fade. It makes those harsh lines look more subdued and mixes different colors fantastically. You don't even have to be a pro to achieve great results as it will help create that look for you! If you haven't tried this then i highly recommend this thing. You won't get disappointed! It's a must have arsenal in every makeup junkie's bag.

That's it for now, thanks for dropping by

I'll leave a picture of  Zoe in the tub. She absolutely hates it!
She keeps shaking water all over
But she has to smell good so she can sleep on our bed :-)

Have an awesome week ahead! :-)

Chino Goes For A Drive

Chino: "Sshhh! Don't bother me. Gotta concentrate while driving!"
"I just sped thru red light, is that ok?"
HONK!HONK! "Stupid slowpoke drivers! Hurry up!"
"Nearing home now, whew! traffic was so gnarl bad!"

                         Poodles

There are moments when we take Chino out for a drive. Especially when he starts looking sad, restless and bored at home. It's one of his favorite treats. A joyride! He loooves riding cars so much that he goes crazy every time we say "LET'S GO!!!" because he knows he's going out.

He is very attentive and likes to observe the sights outside. Sometimes it makes me wonder what goes inside his tiny doggie brain. What is he thinking? How exactly does he feel? Is his "happiness" similar to our human joy? It would be awesome if we can all read what's inside our dogs' mind!

I read that dogs are as smart as 2-year-old babies. True or not it sounds fascinating. Imagine they can understand up to 150 basic words. And are as capable as humans in deceiving?

You can check the link below:

Dog Intelligence on Par with a Two-Year-Old Human

Chino is such a wily dog. I'm not surprised coz he's a poodle which ranks second when it comes to the top 10 most intelligent dog breeds. He will insist and maneuver his way to where he likes to be. Not even the loudest "No!" from me could stop him from getting what he wants. He'll manipulate us by whining and crying. Sometimes he would even crawl from under the carseat or if not slowly inch his way when he thinks that no ones looking. Of which I almost always give in...tsk...tsk...And he has one particular annoying habit. He LIKES to sit infront.

                DRIVING TO WORK

Infront of the wheel!

He loves to sit at the lap of whoever is driving. At first it was ok. We even found it cute. We just pretend he's a little boy eager for his car ride. But little did we know the dangers and hazards of it until we nearly figured into an accident.

Upon sudden brake, Chino was thrust downwards. And his body somewhat blocked the gas pedal area. So I had to act fast in retrieving him below coz we were momentarily stucked in the middle of a fast-moving highway. We could've easily gotten hit by speeding cars at the back. Man, that was really scary!

So that was the end of Chino's behind-the-wheels days. Good thing nobody was harmed. Eventually he realized that he could no longer sit where he wants to be so he stopped pestering us. He even found his next favorite spot. The passenger seat.

Only goes to show that he uses his brain in trying to manipulate which makes me doubt if I use mine for giving in...have I just been outsmarted by my dog? Arf...arf...Take care Ya' all! Hehe:-)

Zoe Doggie Album

She looks so cute in her pink ribbon
Loving her doggie bone
Posing in her nappies
Back view...her cute tail sticking out of the doggie diaper
Which she absolutely hated and tried so hard to remove
Zoe wanting to get up the bed again...she'll keep barking if you ignore her

Some of her grooming essentials
Sleepy time..nite!nite!

Here's a quick snapshot of Zoe after her misbehaviours. She always makes me happy even when she just chewed the handle of my LV Manhattan. And she just recently left a long trail of chewed up napkin...gross! which she stole inside the trash bin. Crazy crazy dog. She's growin' up quite fast. With the way im treating her i feel like I just gave birth to a healthy puppy girl( knock on wood). Mr G even asked why I'm documenting her every move. Well I feel like a proud mama. I know someday I'll be a good mom since I'm already exhibiting signs of maternal instincts. Haha! Please Zoe start acting like a lady already! ;-)

Hope y'all enjoy her recent pix. I wanna buy her more girly clothes and accessories. Thanks for dropping by and I appreciate the time. Love ya all!

Zoe Chews the Handle of My LV Manhattan!!!

Horrific bite marks that looks so ugly!(shot without camera flash)

You can see the tiny nip marks on the other side of the handle as well...tsk...tsk...

The suspect: Zoe aka "bag muncher"
Dont be deceived by her angelic looks
as she bites without remorse...she's a tiny monster!

is a BAAAD girl! She chewed the vachetta of my poor Manhattan! I'm still in a state of shock and disbelief right now. I mean why my Manhattan amongst all? My favorite favorite Manhattan! :-(

Well I know I'm at fault. We just took her out for some puppy ride inside the car. I placed the bag on my lap while I perched her on top of it. I thought she was sleeping coz she usually does that whenever we go out. But for some reason I was distracted thinking of something else that i didn't notice she was already happily munching my precious bag. To my utmost horror, i discovered that the leather handle bore so many tiny bite marks. Initially, I wanted to hurl her out of the window, but of course I don't have the heart to do such thing. I just scolded her and shouted an ear splitting
Clipart
"NOOO!!!". Of which she got mad and barked back. She was annoyed with me coz I 'disrupted' her lovely afternoon chewing session. Zoe, oh Zoe tsk...tsk..good thing your cute and you don't even know what you're doing!

Another lesson learned. To all the puppy owners in the world,  EVER leave your bags unattended with your dogs. Or in my case, pay full attention. There's no one to be blamed but me. I shouldn't have been too complacent to let her try to sleep on top of my bag. It was really a disaster waiting to happen. But its too late now. My bag will forever bear the brunt and marks of this expensive mistake. Somehow I still hope that the leather will go back to it's original glory someday. Hah! Wishful thinking!

I still heart Zoe with all my heart. I know it's just the beginning of many more puppy misadventures with her. I just have to be more responsible and careful next time. I have to be patient in training her and to stop spoiling her so much so she'll take me seriously. She is one feisty little dog who always wants things her way. She needs to be disciplined. And i hope in time that her tiny puppy brain will get it. She knows I'm her 'mom' and I will always protect her no matter what happens...even at the expense of my beautiful Manhattan. Huhuhu!...

I LVoe Chino!

This is Chino when he was still a puppy
So adorable and sweet looking!
He loves to pose and play with some of my bags
Now he's getting bigger, wiser and smarter

He is still every inch as cute then as he is now...
He loves to make those silly antics...
And crazy moves...
He is truly one lucky little doggie (posing with his toys).

Chino is the original apple of our eyes. He came at a time when I was longing for a puppy to snuggle and hold.  It's been two years since he first bought joy in our lives. He was a fearful but obedient little puppy. His only aim in life is to please his masters and act cute. And boy he's good at that!

There have been days when he misbehaves but he still makes it a point to make up by doing his sorry doggy maneuvers...pouty face with head hanging down. So in the end he gets it his way. He's been with us to some of our travels Singapore, Jakarta and now recently Manila. He is always present on all the special occassions and events in our lives. Chino never fails to cheer us up when we feel down. He is a spoiled rotten little cutie, always pampered with toys each time we get back from a travel. He only eats chicken. He's favorite is Mcdonalds. He loves to pose and play dress up with his clothes. We treat him like a baby that sometimes we forget he's a dog. Everytime my fiancé spanks and scolds him he turns to me coz he knows I don't have the heart to make him feel bad. He really is living the doggie life!

Now that a new puppy named Zoe arrived, he's been acting jealous and moody lately. He's so use to all the attenion and he sees her as a threat. What he doesn't know in his tiny doggie brain is that we got Zoe as a playmate for him. We just want him to be happy. Now he's all clingy and needy and it breaks our heart to see him like that. He's such a territorial little dog and he wants all the love he could get all to himself. We just hope that in time he'll learn to adjust and go back to that playful little Chino that we once knew.

Chino, I know it may sound silly. But always remember your "mommy" and "daddy" loves you so much! No matter what happens you'll always be our little angel and we'll never find another dog like you.
